History of Holi

Long earlier water balloons and Pichkaaris, Holi was only an idea that transpired to become one of the most diverting festivals of the world. Yes, Holi is the festival of colors. But what does color symbolize here? We are never certain. But we always hope that coloring something yield life to it. And thereby, perchance  Holi is the celebration of life itself. Holi laurels life, love, its vitality, its passionateness.
There are stories that date back the beginning of Holi and recounts tales in mythology that trace the advent of our attempt at painting the human race more colorful. Mayhap they are true, mayhap they aren’t. But the pith of color compels us to shun our logical minds in the hope of a dreamy world full of rainbows.

Holika

Holika
Holika

One of the very most ancient festivals of India, Holi was also known as “Holika”. The festival of “Holi Katsav” also referenced in the 7th-century work, Ratnavali, by King Harsha.
Ritual perform by Married Women in Holi
The victory of good over evil is a tried and tested theme resurfacing in early scriptures time and again. Holi is one of the festivals with the prime theme of good beating away evil. However, the means of the festival has undergone significant changes over the centuries. Holi used to be a ritual performed by married women praying for their family’s well-being where Raka, the full moon, was worshipped.

Origin of Holi

The origin of Holi is believed to be before the birth of Christ. A legend goes that Lord Vishnu had assassinated the younger brother of the demon lord, Hiranyakashipu. Apart from revenge his brother’s death, the demon king had the ulterior motive of ruling the heaven, the earth, and the underworld by defeating Vishnu. Powered by a blessing granted to him, Hiranyakashipu thought he had become invincible. On his orders, his all-state started praying him, dismissing the Gods. But his boy, Prahalad, maintained his deity to be none but Vishnu.  Furious, the tyrant king decided to kill Prahalad with the aid of Holika, Hiranyakashipu’s sister, who was immune to fire. A funeral pyre was lit and Holika sat on it, clutching Prahalad. But Prahalad emerged out of the fire unharmed, whereas Holika burned to ashes. Hiranyakashipu, too, was eventually killed by Vishnu. Even today, the story of Holika is re-enacted by a doer on Holi. Bonfires across the country are lit up to celebrate the burning away of the evil spirits.

Why we can celebrate Holi?

Dolyatra

As Krishna acquire, the game came to signify the colorful and eventful love story of Radha and Krishna. This tradition has transpired through ages to stand for the festival of colors across the globe, with its origin solely in the Hindu mythology. Our Opinion

Vivo Apex takes full-screen design and fingerprint scanning technology to a new level. Vivo Apex is considered to be a game changer for Vivo as it has almost completely bezel-less design and offers revolutionary new and advanced technologies with excellent sound quality to amazing selfies.
The bezels on the top and sides of the display are very tiny measuring only 1.8mm. These are the thinnest bezels ever found in such phones. While the bottom bezels are of 4.3mm. The secret behind its incredible screen design is the flexible OLED platform which lets to mount the microchips directly into the flexible circuit board, saving the crucial space to be used to makes the phone’s profile as small as possible.
The Vivo Apex’s display is not an ordinary display. It is one of the most amazing features of this smartphone. Under the display, there is a fingerprint scanner which has the most innovative scanning technology. The company has increased the scanner size and now the bottom half of the screen is able to recognize the fingerprints. There is no need to touch a specific and dedicated spot, in fact, the bottom part of the display recognizes your fingerprint anywhere you touch. Vivo has decided to name this new technology as ‘Half-Screen In-Display Fingerprint Scanning’. The fingerprint scanning has become even more reliable and secure because of the support of dual-fingerprint scanning setup. This setup takes two of your fingers to unlock your cell phone.
The small bezel size at the bottom has resulted in the reduction of conventional earpiece speaker. To compensate it, Vivo has created a Screen Sound Casting Technology which will turn the entire display into a speaker. This technology is also amazing in terms of battery consumption as it uses less power as compared to traditional audio methods.
Another eye-catching and interesting feature of Apex is its selfie camera which cannot be seen anywhere in normal conditions but when the selfie mode is enabled, an 8-megapixels camera pops up at the top of the screen. Although it is done in just 0.8 seconds yet it looks fascinating and creative.
